Baseball Recap: Hiawatha Comes Up Short

Hiawatha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holton Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Red Hawks have suffered since March 31st.

Hiawatha's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-1. As for Holton, they moved to 5-13-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Hiawatha by a score of 6-3 later that day.
