Basketball Recap: Bishop Walsh Comes Up Short

Bishop Walsh played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 78-52 to the Hancock Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Hancock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Anderson led the charge by putting up 25 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Anderson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Hunter Kerns was another key player, earning 18 points.

Bishop Walsh's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Hancock, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Coming up, Bishop Walsh won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hancock, they will challenge Hundred at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
