Recap: Frost Polar Bears vs. Hamilton Bulldogs
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Frost Polar Bears ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Hamilton with a 59-55 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Frost as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
When it comes to explaining why Hamilton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mike Bushnell. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Summers, who scored eight points along with three blocks.
Even though they lost, Hamilton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Frost's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Hamilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frost will take on Valley Mills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Mills is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Hamilton, they will be playing at home against Itasca at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
