Volleyball Recap: Winston Salem Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Winston Salem Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Davidson Day Patriots, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-20, 25-15.

Davidson Day's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lilly Marinelli led the charge by getting seven aces and five digs. Those seven aces gave Marinelli a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Mitchell, who had six digs and four aces.

Winston Salem Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Davidson Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Winston Salem Christian will take on Bethel Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Davidson Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
