Preview: South Lyon East Cougars vs. Kettering Captains
South Lyon East is 8-2 against Kettering since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The South Lyon East Cougars will be playing at home against the Kettering Captains at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, South Lyon East didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Pinckney, but they still walked away with a 60-56 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for South Lyon East.
Meanwhile, Kettering came up short against South Lyon on Friday and fell 66-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (55), Kettering still had to take the loss.
Nathan Bisnett put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 18 points. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Jarrell, who scored 7 points along with 10 assists and 5 steals.
South Lyon East's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Kettering, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
South Lyon East was able to grind out a solid win over Kettering in their previous matchup back in March, winning 65-52. Does South Lyon East have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kettering turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
