Football Recap: Landon Rancourt's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Messalonskee over Fryeburg

The Messalonskee Eagles ended up a good deal behind the Fryeburg Raiders on Friday and lost 37-20.

Messalonskee's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Rancourt, who rushed for 91 yards and a pair of TDs.

Messalonskee's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fryeburg, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Messalonskee will take on Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fryeburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Cony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
