Softball Game Preview: St. Joseph Bulldogs vs. Danville Little Johns

The St. Joseph Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Danville Little Johns at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

St. Joseph is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Cutter-Morning Star last Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 12-1.

Meanwhile, Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-1 to Hector.

St. Joseph has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

St. Joseph took their victory against Danville in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 20-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Joseph since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
