Baseball Game Preview: Ethel Tigers vs. Lake Hornets

The Ethel Tigers will challenge the Lake Hornets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Ethel is looking for their season's first victory.

Friday just wasn't the day for Ethel's offense. They lost 16-0 to Kosciusko on Friday.

Meanwhile, Lake got themselves on the board against Pelahatchie on Thursday, but Pelahatchie never followed suit. They blew past the Chiefs 13-0. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Jd Gibson was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Lake: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Trey Gray was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Lake's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Ethel, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
