Softball Recap: Winterset Comes Up Short

Winterset lost to Carlisle on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Huskies fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Winterset's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Carlisle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Winterset will challenge rival A-D-M at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Huskies 3.6, the Tigers 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Carlisle is set to square off against their familiar foe Ballard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
