If California wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played El Rancho, they should've done a better job of containing Braylon Morrison. The Dons strolled past the Condors with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-21 with plenty of help from Morrison, who rushed for 227 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 116.1 rushing yards per game.

Despite the defeat, California had strong showings from Andrew Robledo, who rushed for 106 yards on only 11 carries, and Aj Aparicio, who threw for 112 yards and one TD. Robledo's longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

El Rancho is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.3 points over those games. As for California, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. El Rancho will square off against Whittier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for California, they will take on La Serna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
