Basketball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello lost against Orange County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Monticello Mustangs came up short against the Orange County Fighting Hornets, falling 64-43. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Orange County, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.

Monticello won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Brookville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Monticello is facing Brookville at the right time seeing as Brookville is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Orange County has already played their next game (against Charlottesville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
