A Season-Best Effort from Easton Belfiore Leads Brookville over Moniteau

Easton Belfiore produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Brookville to the win on Friday. Belfiore rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August.

Brookville moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak. Belfiore and Brookville will take on Port Allegany at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ferguson Posts Huge Game in 45-0 Win

Jase Ferguson's big game helped extend Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion]'s winning streak to eight on Friday. Nobody could stop Ferguson as he threw for 334 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Unfortunately for Punxsutawney, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Ferguson. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Ferguson saw Punxsutawney), he threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 97 yards on only 13 carries.

Brookville's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Kolton Griffin

Thanks in part to Kolton Griffin, Brookville said goodbye to their six-game losing streak. On Friday Griffin rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

For the year, Griffin has run in those 2 touchdowns while averaging 38.5 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 20 rushing yards per game.

Sankey Made His Presence Known in Moniteau's 48-8 Loss

Moniteau was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Brendin Sankey did his best to prevent it. Sankey was unstoppable, throwing for 146 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 52 yards.

Moniteau is on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8. Sankey and Moniteau will head out to take on Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hunter Scherer Dazzles in Karns City Victory

Rounding off our Top Five is Hunter Scherer of Karns City. Scherer picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown.

Karns City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Scherer and Karns City will take on Keystone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
