Basketball Recap: The Cambridge School Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for The Cambridge School, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 52-40 win over the Hilltop Lancers on Thursday.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sebastian Badilla, who posted eight points. The dominant performance gave Badilla a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Martinez, who put up eight points.

The Cambridge School's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Hilltop, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

After both having extra time off, The Cambridge School and Chula Vista Learning Community Charter will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another on January 6, 2025. As for Hilltop, they will be taking part in a tournament against Southwest EC at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
