The Real Life Christian Academy Raptors are taking a road trip to take on the Legacy Charter Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Real Life Christian Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Legacy Charter likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, Real Life Christian Academy got the win against Ocala Christian by a conclusive 18-5. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won nine contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Emma Lowe, who scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Sophie Sullivan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3.
Real Life Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 13 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Legacy Charter posted their closest victory since February 20, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Freedom.
Stefanie Donahey was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
Real Life Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.3 runs over those games. As for Legacy Charter, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Legacy Charter's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Real Life Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .544. It's a different story for Legacy Charter, though, as they've only averaged .230. Will they be able to contain Real Life Christian Academy's hitters?
Real Life Christian Academy beat Legacy Charter 18-14 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Real Life Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Legacy Charter has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
