The Osage City Indians will face off against the Anderson County Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Osage City and Lyndon, and Osage City kept the tradition alive. Osage City put the hurt on Lyndon with a sharp 12-2 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

JD Tyson made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one triple.
In other batting news, Osage City let Daityn Meek and Sevrin Rumold run wild. Meek scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Rumold went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two RBI. That's the most RBI Rumold has posted since back in April of 2024. Tyson Mullins was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Anderson County). They were the clear victors by a 16-8 margin over Baldwin on Thursday. With that victory, Anderson County brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Brayden Wheat was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
Anderson County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win made it two in a row for Anderson County and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Osage City, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Osage City suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Anderson County when the teams last played back in May of 2022. Will Osage City have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
