Rich Township won the last time they faced Thornton Fractional South and things went their way on Monday too. The Raptors walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Red Wolves.

While Rich Township might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Thornton Fractional South scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18.

Despite the defeat, Thornton Fractional South saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Romina Calderon had seven digs and two aces.

Rich Township is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Thornton Fractional South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Rich Township and Thornwood will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Thornton Fractional South, they will host Richards at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
