Volleyball Recap: Spanish Springs Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Middleton

Spanish Springs is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Middleton. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Vikings. The Cougars' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Madi Long paced Spanish Springs' offense, picking up seven kills. Long got some help from AJ Robinson and her ten assists.

Spanish Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Middleton, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Coming up, Spanish Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Senators will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Middleton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against West Salem on the 30th.
