Recap: Strafford Indians vs. Rolla Bulldogs
It was a good run, but the Strafford Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 56-45 to Rolla. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Strafford in their matchups with Rolla: they've now lost three in a row.
Akaela Caquelin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rolla, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Willow Gideon, who scored 15 points.
Strafford's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Rolla, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Strafford will be playing in front of their home fans against Thayer at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Thayer is ranked 38th, while Strafford is ranked 46th). As for Rolla, Rolla and Webb City will face off at 12:30 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
