The St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors will head out to face off against the Salem Baptist Christian Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Thomas More Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
While St. Thomas More Academy's victory against Friendship Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chancellors skirted past the Falcons 21-20. The Chancellors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Gavin Sandner was incredible, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Drew Sandner was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Salem Baptist Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Sheets Memorial Christian by a score of 14-9 on Thursday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Andrew Baker made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Baker was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Salem Baptist Christian got a massive performance out of Brandon Lloyd, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. The Vikings are 2-1 when Lloyd posts three or more hits, but 3-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Graeson Reid, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Salem Baptist Christian's record now sits at 5-9. As for St. Thomas More Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal.
