Baseball Recap: Adelanto's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Adelanto dropped their record down to 14-12 on Saturday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Paraclete Spirits, falling 20-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Saints have suffered since April 14th.

As for Paraclete, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-13. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Paraclete's part, Mason Jacobo looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Jacobo also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Spirits are 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 10-12 otherwise.

At the plate, Paraclete got a massive performance out of Armando Saucedo, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Saucedo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Antonio Longobardi, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adelanto will square off against Tahquitz at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Saints' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Paraclete, they will face off against Littlerock at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
