Woodruff barely beat Clinton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won seven in a row.

While Woodruff won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-22, 25-19.

Leading Woodruff to victory were Natalee Simmons and Ruthie Sheffield. Simmons had nine digs and two aces, while Sheffield had 13 digs and five assists. Those two aces gave Simmons a new career-high.

Woodruff now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Woodruff wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Emerald on the 26th. As for Clinton, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Newberry on the 27th.
