Baseball Game Preview: Vance County Vipers vs. J.F. Webb Warriors

Vance County is 1-9 against J.F. Webb since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vipers will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Vance County lost 26-6 to Durham School of the Arts on Monday.

Meanwhile, J.F. Webb came up short against Southern School of Energy and Sustainability on Monday, falling 13-3. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost four in a row.

J.F. Webb saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ernesto Quintanilla, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

J.F. Webb's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Vance County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Vance County couldn't quite get it done against J.F. Webb in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 as they fell 10-5. Can the Vipers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
