Volleyball Recap: Don Soffer Aventura Starts off Right with Win over Hialeah Educational Academy + How To Watch

Don Soffer Aventura took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie. This was payback for the Barracuda, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Leading Don Soffer Aventura to victory were Fiorella Funes and Brunna Oliveira. Funes had eight aces and four digs, while Oliveira had five digs and five aces. Funes has been hot recently, having also posted 18 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Hialeah Educational Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Don Soffer Aventura is headed away from home for the first time to face off against FAU High at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they will face off against Avant Garde Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
