Basketball Recap: Elite Scholars Academy Comes Up Short

Elite Scholars Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 57-10 defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers. The Royal Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-1.

Atlanta Classical Academy was led to victory by Reece Perkins and Sally Berry. Perkins posted 23 points and eight boards, while Berry had 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Elizabeth Kirkland, who put up six points.

Elite Scholars Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Atlanta Classical Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elite Scholars Academy and Utopian Academy for the Arts will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Atlanta Classical Academy will take on Cross Keys in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
