Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Wildcats vs. Spencerville Bearcats

Last Saturday, Jefferson didn't have quite enough to beat Parkway and fell 54-52. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 15-9 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Spencerville put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Bath as Spencerville made off with a 60-40 win. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Jefferson has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Spencerville, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Jefferson was taken down by Spencerville 69-36 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Jefferson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
