Volleyball Recap: Catawba Ridge Find Success

Catawba Ridge hadn't done well against South Aiken recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Copperheads walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Thoroughbreds. The Copperheads were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Thoroughbreds, so the Copperheads were just returning the favor.

Catawba Ridge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for South Aiken, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Catawba Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against May River on the 16th. As for South Aiken, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Brookland-Cayce at 7:00 p.m. on September 2.
