Volleyball Recap: Blue Ridge Starts Season with Victory Against Greater Nanticoke Area

Blue Ridge took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-17, 25-9.

Abigail Gelinger paced Blue Ridge's offense, picking up 15 kills. Gelinger got some help from Mckenna Zick and her 33 assists. Lynndee Barbour controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Greater Nanticoke Area now has a losing record of 1-2.

Blue Ridge has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against West Scranton on the 2nd. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Susquehanna on the 2nd.
