Dunbar is 8-2 against Belmont since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Dunbar Wolverines will face off against the Belmont Bison at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Dunbar focused on turnovers this week as the team gave up 16 on Saturday.

Dunbar can't be to happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home. They came up short against Columbus Academy, falling 62-39.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Justyce Taylor, who earned seven points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lester Brown Jr, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 10 points.

Meanwhile, a win for Belmont just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were beaten by Springboro 62-26. The loss continues a trend for the Bison in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Belmont's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dayvion Porter, who went 6 for 13 en route to 17 points plus five rebounds and three steals, and Aaron Dandrea, who posted five points.

Dunbar strolled past Belmont in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 75-58. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Belmont's Denzell Ogle, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
