Baseball Recap: Stow-Munroe Falls Victorious

With a playoff win on the line, Stow-Munroe Falls rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Boardman Spartans by a score of 4-1. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Josh Moore looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Stow-Munroe Falls is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-15 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jake Harrington was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since May 3rd.

Stow-Munroe Falls' win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Boardman, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Looking ahead, Stow-Munroe Falls will take on Austintown-Fitch at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boardman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
