Volleyball Recap: Great Crossing's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Great Crossing unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Henry Clay Blue Devils. The game marked the first time this year in which the Warhawks were not able to get on the board.

While Great Crossing had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19.

Erin Thomas paced Great Crossing's offense, picking up ten kills. Thomas got some help from Brooklyn Walls and her ten assists.

Great Crossing's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Henry Clay, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Great Crossing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Frankfort on the 26th. As for Henry Clay, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 win against George Rogers Clark on the 26th.
