Recap: Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish vs. Baylor Red Raiders
The Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish and the Baylor Red Raiders squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish had to settle for second. They took a hard 49-35 fall against the Red Raiders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (31), Knoxville Catholic still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Knoxville Catholic still got an impressive performance from Jayden Neal, who threw for 342 yards and five touchdowns. Braylon Harmon was another key contributor, picking up 127 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Knoxville Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Baylor, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Knoxville Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Baylor will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McCallie at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (McCallie is ranked first, while Baylor is ranked second).
