Baseball Recap: Hayden Comes Up Short

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Hayden was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Florence Gophers. The Lobos haven't had much luck with the Gophers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Hayden's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Florence, they pushed their record up to 15-6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Hayden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Florence, they will head out on the road to challenge Coolidge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.44 runs per game on average), something the Gophers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
