Point Pleasant has gone 6-1 against Scott recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Big Blacks will challenge the Skyhawks at 6:00 p.m. Point Pleasant will be strutting in after a victory while Scott will be coming in after a defeat.

While Point Pleasant's win against Lincoln County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Big Blacks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Panthers on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Big Blacks as it put an end to their six-match losing streak.

Point Pleasant had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-20, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Scott suffered their biggest loss since November 6, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against Sherman, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Skyhawks in their meetings with the Tide: they've now lost three in a row.

While Scott was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-22.

Point Pleasant's victory bumped their record up to 10-12-1. As for Scott, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Point Pleasant was able to grind out a solid win over Scott in their previous meeting back in August, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Big Blacks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
