League recap: Cashmere extends winning streak with victory over Brewster

Cashmere extended the longest winning streak in 1A Caribou Trail this week by beating Brewster, 83-0. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

Quincy moved up to 123 from 175 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Jackrabbits were able to make the jump by besting Tonasket 42-0.

Chelan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Michael Amsel, jr threw for 127 and two touchdowns and Erick Oscarson had 83 yards receiving. On the ground Amsel, jr chipped in 144 yards. Tanner Hendricks helped Chelan's passing attack out by catching one ball for 18 yards.

The Mountain Goats' Luke Gleasman and Oscarson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gleasman has thrown for 438 yards this season, while Oscarson, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 12 catches for 235 yards. Quincy's Jacob Durfee leads the league in rushing yards with 504.

Cashmere took down the Bears 83-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
