Baseball Recap: ABF Academy Takes a Loss

ABF Academy fell victim to Schoolhouse Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 1-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Cowboys were not able to get on the board.

ABF Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gian Luigi Ospina, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Ospina is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

ABF Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10. As for Schoolhouse Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. ABF Academy will take on Dr. Krop at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Schoolhouse Prep, they will challenge the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
