Softball Recap: Gateway's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Gateway had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Island Coast Gators with a sharp 16-1 win on Wednesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Gateway got a massive performance out of Krizha Fredeluces, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Fredeluces has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Manzano, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Gateway's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Island Coast, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-18.

Coming up, Gateway will venture away from home to take on Lennard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Island Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
