Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lexi Mendez, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That was a full 60.6% of Bethel Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Neveah James, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Bethel Christian Academy has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Varsity Opponent, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 132-462.
Bethel Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-5 loss vs. Coppin Academy on the 8th.
