Volleyball Recap: Kiel Triumphs

Kiel hadn't done well against Sheboygan Falls recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Raiders won by a set and slipped past the Falcons 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since August 29th.

Ava Rothe went supernova, getting ten digs and five aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven contests.

Rothe wasn't the only good servers: Kiel was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheboygan Falls only served nine.

The victory snapped Kiel's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 16-6 record. As for Sheboygan Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-17.

Kiel will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
