Crystal Springs Uplands had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the University Prep Academy Golden Eagles. The Gryphons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Eagles, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Crystal Springs Uplands took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10, 25-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crystal Springs Uplands will challenge Design Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University Prep Academy, they will face off against King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
