            Softball Recap: Highland Rams vs. Rigby Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Highland won the last time they faced Rigby and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Rams blew past the Trojans 8-2. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Rams.
The team  relied heavily on  Emerson Gifford, who  went 3-for-4 with two  triples, three  RBI,  and one  run. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in March.  Reece Bybee was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 Highland  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .538. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an  OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive  contests.

Highland's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 17-8. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Rigby,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 9-15.
 Highland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  13-12  win against Thunder Ridge on the 6th. Rigby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
