Laicie Bridges was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zabrina Madison, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those runs were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addie Raye Pennington, who went 1-for-5 with one home run.

At the plate, Aubre Martin was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Abigail Carver was another key player, getting no hits from her three at bats.

Lawrence County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. Hancock's win bumped their record up to 5-1.
