Softball Recap: Walnut's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Walnut waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Thrasher Rebels 18-3. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 13-0 victory last Friday.

Walnut got a massive performance out of Addison Hicks, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave Hicks a new career-high. Kaylea Mays also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Hicks wasn't the only one making solid contact: Walnut kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.

Walnut's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-12. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Thrasher, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.

As of now, neither Walnut nor the Rebels have any future games scheduled.
