Recap: Jenkins Warriors vs. Groves Rebels
After losing to the Groves Rebels the last time they met, the Jenkins Warriors decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Jenkins enjoyed a cozy 69-50 win over Groves on Friday.
Jenkins' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremiah James led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 14 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists. The contest was James' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Aj bynum, who scored 14 points along with three steals and three blocks.
The win got Jenkins back to even at 2-2. As for Groves, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Jenkins won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Benedictine at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th. Groves won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against New Hampstead at 8:30 p.m. on December 16th. New Hampstead has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
