Basketball Recap: East Moline United Comes Up Short

East Moline United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 42-16 to the Alleman Pioneers. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while the Pioneers are ranked 43rd).

East Moline United's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Alleman, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

East Moline United won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rochelle at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Alleman, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Rockford Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
