Softball Recap: East Comes Up Short

East lost against Olympus back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Leopards fell just short of the Titans by a score of 4-3.

Amaiah Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Kiley Griggs was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Liily Maughan also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

East's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Olympus, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

East didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-6 win against Skyline on the 30th. As for Olympus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 23-3 victory against Woods Cross on the 30th.
