Basketball Recap: Hanover's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Hanover waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They took down the Laconia Sachems 54-35. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Sachems are ranked 73rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hanover's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points over those games. As for Laconia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanover will square off against Lebanon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Laconia, they will be playing at home against Hollis-Brookline at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
