Volleyball Recap: Berean Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sports Leadership & Management on Thursday, Berean Christian came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Pine Knights on Friday, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-14.

Berean Christian's offense was headlined by Briana Downs and Elizabeth Skelton, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Jordan Quezada and her ten assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Berean Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pine, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Berean Christian and Sports Leadership & Management will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Pine, they will welcome St. Andrew's Episcopal Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
