Baseball Recap: Central Woodstock Extends Winning Streak to Three

Central Woodstock had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Stonewall Jackson Generals as they made off with an 8-1 victory. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Central Woodstock got a great performance from Isaac Barb as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Barb also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Falcons are undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Noah Moss was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Luke Bushong, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Central Woodstock's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Stonewall Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
