Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Rams vs. Tracy Bulldogs

St. Mary is 10-0 against Tracy since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The St. Mary's Rams are taking a road trip to face off against the Tracy Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. St. Mary's will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Friday, St. Mary's was able to grind out a solid win over West, taking the game 54-44. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Rams' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 126th).

St. Mary's relied on the efforts of Vincent Arnaudo, who went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points and five rebounds, and William Weathington, who posted eight points along with five assists and five steals. Those five steals gave Weathington a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Stephens, who put up seven points.

Meanwhile, Tracy unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by Lincoln 74-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since January 17, 2024.

Tracy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for St. Mary's, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Everything came up roses for St. Mary's against Tracy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 66-39 win. In that contest, St. Mary's amassed a halftime lead of 48-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
