Softball Recap: Chesaning Comes Up Short

Chesaning fell victim to Ovid-Elsie and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Marauders by a score of 1-0. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marauders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Chesaning and nudges their season record down to 7-6. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Ovid-Elsie, their record now sits at 10-15-1.

While Chesaning had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
